"Like stories are told" was recorded in early 2013. I recorded everything except the simulated strings and the flute solo which were both Brett Wood. There's guitars (acoustic, electric and slide), banjo, bass, drum kit and a whole lotta percussion... as well as a record player metronome.
"Closer to closure" was written by my good friend Ray Ream and we recorded the guitar, bass and drums in 2003 at our home studio at 4201 Borra court in Oceanside. This is one of the first recordings we ever made. I added the vocals, back up vocals by Maria Espach and some other whatnots like sleigh bells, slide guitar, kazoos and assorted percussion in late 2013/early 2014 at Speakeasy.
"Broken soul" was recorded in late 2007 as a blues jam with my friend Mike Reilly on guitar and slide guitar. I added the drums and vocals in 2013 as well as the Rhodes piano by my man Brett Wood.
The inspirational quotes are taken from a random recording session I did with a woman named Tamar (I didn't catch her last name).
